Your role
In this function you will support the business activities of Atlas Copco by helping the Divisions of the global Compressor Technique and Power Technique business area in achieving their business targets by means of intellectual property rights.
The following tasks are part of the job content:
Manage and develop a team of IP experts and attorneys working in different IP domains such as patents, designs and trademarks
Be responsible for implementation of IP Policies throughout the product companies of the Compressor Technique and Power Technique Business Areas based in Belgium, as well as Group companies in the EMEA and AMER regions
Support the business in developing and managing IP portfolios in line with divisional IP strategies.
Collaborate with external IP law firms and IP offices globally, as well as with our stakeholders in our internal engineering, communication and marketing departments and with the other IP teams within the Atlas Copco Group.
Organize internal IP awareness campaigns and implement a continuous follow-up of IP law developments in international context.
You work in the Shared Engineering Services Department of the Airtec Division and report to the Global Head of IP Compressor Technique & Power Technique.
You also work on patent files.
To succeed, you will need

You have an engineering degree
Several years of experience in managing a team of experts.
You have knowledge of IP law and, particularly patent law.
Excellent knowledge of English is a requirement.
You can work perfectly with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
