WHAT IS BONGO/GIFT BOX?

A Bongo/Gift box is an experience voucher that allows you to give someone an unforgettable experience around a certain theme (e.g. Delightful stay, Adventure, ...). Each voucher contains several similar options within the same theme. The recipient of an experience voucher chooses the activity or package of his/her preference, makes a reservation and pays with the voucher. Bongo pioneered the market and created a unique product category.

Growth is worked through all kinds of different channels: web sales, its own chain of Bongo Shops, in various retail outlets and B2B.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to promote the Bongo brand in Belgium and the Netherlands across our online ecosystem. You will contribute to social media strategy in daily activities, from content production, editorial plan editing, influence and community management, with the aim of boosting social media KPIs. You will also manage our company image and brand consistency across our different online platforms to achieve our marketing objectives.

Reporting to the Brand and Communications Director (HQ Marketing team based in Levallois France) and working under the supervision of the Content Director, this role is essential in creating and managing our brand narrative and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the social media strategy defined by the HQ across various platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn), focusing on audience growth but also engagement, and production of repeatable editorial formats
• Experience our products (local and contribute in content creation (picture & video shooting) highlighting our experiences and partners through compelling stories
• Collaborate with external teams (agency, freelance) but also internally (other social media manager, consumer insights, product and creative team, etc.) to offer creativity and excellence on our social channels and formats
• Participation in editorial committees
• Maintain and strengthen the voice and image of our brand through a coherent online and offline strategy
• Use social analytics and internal data to inform strategy and identify opportunities
• Stay on top of cultural trends to foster relevant brand conversations
• Support local PR activations

Requirements:

• A talent specialized in social media with 1/2 years of experience with a masters degree in marketing or communication
• Proven track record of creating content that gets shared and talked about
• Excellent copywriting and content creation skills to craft engaging stories. Ideally experienced in picture and video shooting, as well as comfortable using photo & video editing tools
• Deep knowledge of social and media platforms and the ability
• Demonstrating also a strong sensibility and understanding on brand issues
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
• A creative, agile and positive individual, with perfect relational skills and a collaborative attitude
• Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects
• Native Flemish and Fluent English – French is a plus
• Driving licence
