Mission: The target group of the medical representative is the prescribing Health Care Professional (general practitioners, specialists). In the hospital context, the hospital pharmacists and (head) nurses can be a part of the target group.
  • Medical communication: the medical representative provides correct and up-to-date information about the products and mission of Biocodex Benelux to the target group.
  • Territory management: the medical representative is in all autonomy responsible for a correct territory management of the region that is assigned to him/her.
  • Targeted performance objectives: the medical representative will continuously analyze the proposed KPIs and propose targeted action plans where necessary.
  • Pharmacovigilance: The medical representatives plays an important role and will actively contribute to pharmacovigilance, in line with the respective procedures
Context: The medical representative is part of a team of medical representatives and reports directly to the Medical Science Liaisons Manager. Main Tasks: Medical communication
  • This communication is in line with the medical communication strategy and microbiota mission of Biocodex Benelux and adapted to the target group.
  • It is based on a solid scientific knowledge and understanding of the Biocodex Products and their medical context. For this, the med rep will continuously be trained with scientific and product training.
  • Tis communication is aiming at a correct use, good understanding and sufficient knowledge of the products among the target group, as well as a correct use of the communication tools (including good sample management)
  • This communication includes the roll out of the microbiota mission of Biocodex, by continuously informing the target group on BMI and BMF
  • In addition to the daily work among the target group in ambulatory environments and in hospitals, the medical representative also supports and attends selected scientific events for HCP’s, in line with an allocated budget.
Territory management: selection and covering
  • The medical representative is responsible for the composition of an optimal selection of the target group within the region. This selection is aiming at optimizing the impact of the medical representative.
  • The selection is respected and continuously evaluated. The option is provided to adjust the selection at specific moments.
  • With regular visits (correct frequency and coverage) and appropriate follow-up, the medical representative develops a network that improves the visibility of the company and optimizes the use of the products in the portfolio.
  • This requires a good planning, preparation and reporting. In order to handle these administrative tasks, the medical representative will use the CRM system.
Targeted performance objectives
  • The medical representative will ensure a permanent auto-evaluation by following up the established KPIs
  • He/she will and devise, propose and roll out action plans when the need is detected in the KPI analysis
  • He/she will constantly communicate with the medical science liaison manager about the KPI’s, the implementation and follow-up of the medical communication strategy. There will be regular duo visits with the direct manager and other members of the management team.
  • During team meetings, the medical representative will actively contribute to the optimization of the team’s performance, by giving constructive feedback, sharing best practices and problem solving.
Pharmacovigilance
  • The medical representative will pass on all complaints received (quality, vigilance) to the office within the requested periods and according to the requested formats (according to the applicable procedure)
